Walead Beshty works in a broad variety of media including sculpture, photography, painting, installation and video. In his work Besthy explores the limits of the artistic production process by using unconventional methods and techniques, generally leaving a lot to chance which results in very unpredictable and random works of art. The transparency of the production context is central to his work, often even referring to this in his titles. He thereby lets the audience discover the social space that surrounds the artwork from its conception to its reception, through its distribution and circulation.
